#StoryIn12 - January

#StoryIn12Every day,  the #StoryIn12 flash fiction meme on twitter challenges writers to write a “complete” story in exactly 12 words, that includes the prompt word for that day.

#StoryIn12 is the creation of Molly (aka @mollysdailykiss) and  Wriggly Kitty (aka @Wriggly_Kitty).

Here are mine for this month:
  • New – The new year began like any other; it was just another day.
  • Fire – Fire coursed through her veins, searing her nerves as her climax approached.
  • Talking – They let their bodies do the talking; actions expressing more than words.
  • Moon – The full moon shone like a cold sun in the winter sky.
  • Afternoon – An afternoon spent on the sofa; sadly not in a good way.
  • Black – Black is not a colour, it is an existential state of being.
  • Vicious – A new year, but no relief from the vicious circle of moods.
  • Distant – Depression often makes people appear distant and withdrawn. Appearances can be deceiving.
  • Curve – He lightly traced her breast’s curve with the tip of his tongue.
  • Forgettable – He had one of those nondescript faces that was almost instantly forgettable.
  • Graceful – He was a powerful prop forward with no need to be graceful.
  • War – The war between darkness and light raged on relentlessly inside his mind.
  • Hotel – The local hotel was a frequent location for their secret romantic trysts.
  • Icy – Her reception was icy, but he knew how to warm her up.
  • Jelly – There was something about his intense scrutiny that turned her to jelly.
  • Moment –  A moment is all that is needed for a heart to shatter.
  • Kitchen – The kitchen was a place where many things were tasted; including her.
  • Lonely – There is a world of difference between being lonely and being alone.
  • Tongue – The precision with which he used his tongue always satisfied her need.
  • Hands – She loved the simultaneously soothing and sensual touch of his strong hands.
  • Nobody – Nobody ever deserves to be treated as if they have no value.
  • Stage – He was at the stage where nothing really seemed to matter anymore.
  • Once – It would be nice, just once, if something actually went to plan.
